Chief Executive Officer of Roswell Organization for Community Development

Calvin L. Asbury is the Chief Executive Officer of Roswell Organization for Community Development, Inc. (ROCD). He is recognized for his expertise in executive management, consulting, training, marketing, and technology strategy in which he has over thirty-five years of experience in these combined areas. Before retiring from IBM Corporation (IBM) in 2008, he directed IBM’s services solutions worldwide business on major accounts, including The Coca-Cola Company, within the Distribution Sector of IBM. He possesses a comprehensive understanding and experience in developing business alliances, nonprofit creation, and partnerships.

Mr. Asbury serves as a board adviser and consultant to Mount Pleasant Outreach Ministries Inc., and Project Job Creation, Inc. He has also served on the board of several organizations including Children Development Academy, Sheperd’s Watch Foundation Inc., W L E Gross Consulting LLC, and Curtis Holding Company. He was also a managing partner of Southeastern Land Barons LLC which is an Alabama-based company that owns and manages properties in four states across the United States. He leverages his certified consulting experience along with his experience and knowledge of business processes, business strategy, and contract negotiations for solutions in complex environments. He has worked with city leaders, and executives across the globe to help companies realize dramatic positive business results. He has an outstanding track record of successful business development and growth within an area of focus.

Mr. Asbury is a United States Army Veteran. He has held secret and top secret clearances.  He holds a technical degree from United Electronic Institute in Louisville, Kentucky, and studied business management at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.  He has attended hundreds of hours of management and leadership training.  He is a published author. He received numerous awards during his career with IBM. He was recently awarded the Advocate Award by the Alpharetta, GA Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. The Friends for Life Foundation, Inc. awarded him the Community Servant of the Heart Award, and he also received the Wellstar Health System Mobile Market Outstanding Partnership Award.  A long-time philanthropist and charitable cause activist, he is a frequent speaker at colleges, churches, and technical and civil organizations.
